New Music Tuesday – Blizzard Edition

Electricity and an internet connection remain for the time being, so it seems like a good time to dispatch some of the new music we’ve got today…

First up it is worth noting that Self Defense Family has not one but TWO splits/collaborations up for pre-order today. One is with Touché Amoré (titled Self Love, instead of the other option, Ya Got Me Fam) and is purported to be some of the heaviest stuff they’ve done recently. The other is with Creative Adult, with whom SDF will be touring in a few months. Both records will be officially released on March 10th. Sadly no stream yet, just this teaser from Deathwish with Patrick just texting not even paying attention:

Then from last week, Cloakroom has a new record out on Run For Cover called Futher Out. And yeah, it’s actually pretty far out. Shoegaze sometimes verging on snoozegaze, but with some loud punk thrown in to keep your attention. Stream that thing below.

Finally, please enjoy this video of Bradley Cooper air guitaring the solo of Neil Young’s ‘Down By the River.’ Possible AOTY…
