10/7 New Song Round-up!

*Indiana Jones whip crack sound effect* Herding and corralling some new songs from some of fall’s most anticipated releases. This week, we’ve got quite an ecclectic mix featuring Copeland, No Devotion, and XTRMST. Check it all out below!

First up is a new track from recently and joyously resurrected Copeland, who are independently releasing their first album in six long, Copeland-lacking years entitled Ixora. Pre-order the record here and help fund the making of this sure-to-be-stellar record (if this gorgeous song is any indication). Ixora is out on November 24.

On several completely different notes, here is the newest track, “Words for the Unwanted,” from the straight-edge hardcore side project of AFI’s Davey Havok and Jade Puget. Whether you’re edge or not (we here at Abandon Hip are most definitely not), Havok and Puget are some of the best songwriters out there (this is coming from a completely biased and unrelenting AFI fan, but what I say is fact). Pre-order their debut LP on vinyl here or on iTunes. Due out November 18.

Lastly, but never leastly, is “10,000 Summers” from No Devotion featuring the non-horrendous members of lostprophets and ex-Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly. Pre-order this single from Rickly’s strictly vinyl (how fun) Collect Records here!. The single is officially out on October 27.
